Embracing Awareness Amidst Swirling Thoughts

When you realize nothing is lacking, the whole world belongs to you.

— Lao Tzu

Welcome to this meditation for when your mind feels so busy with thoughts that it's hard to catch a break. In this moment, allowing yourself to simply be here as you are.

Allowing your body to settle into a comfortable position. Letting your eyes gently come to a close. Knowing that you are simply here to be aware of what is happening.

There is no need to do anything right now. Feeling your breath as it flows in and out without effort. With each breath out, allowing your body to relax even just a little bit into this moment of stillness.

Feeling the weight of your body, fully supported by the surface beneath you. Knowing in this very moment that the ground beneath you holds your full weight without effort.

In this moment, there is nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to do. Simply being here just as you are is enough. Allowing your attention to rest on your breath, flowing in and out of your body.

Noticing the gentle rye and fall of your belly with each breath. Becoming aware of each breath as a reminder of this present moment where you are alive and well.

When your mind starts to wander gently with kindness, allowing your attention to rest on your breath flowing through you in this very moment.

Knowing that it is normal for thoughts to come and go. Simply being aware is enough right now. Noticing what thoughts are swirling in your mind right now.

No way. That there is no need to engage with these thoughts or push them away. Acknowledging that by recognizing thoughts just as they are, you are making room for them to dissolve back into nothingness.

Understanding that thoughts come and go, but your awareness remain ever present and unchanging like a mirror reflecting what's in front of it.

The mirror, like your awareness, remains unchanged. Noticing. There is a desire for things to be different.

Acknowledging this desire as a natural part of being human. Understanding in this very moment that this desire is just another thought, Just one of many thought that passed by the mirror of your awareness.

When you find yourself getting caught up in a certain thought, gently with kindness, bringing your attention back to your breath, flowing in and out of your belly right now.

Acknowledging that this practice of returning to your breath is an act of kindness towards yourself. Knowing that it is okay to return to your breath as many times as you need to.

Each returning to the breath allows you a fresh start in this very present moment. Acknowledging that in this practice, there is no right or wrong. There is only the gentle act of becoming aware of this moment just as you are.

Allowing yourself to be present with whatever is happening right now. There is no need to change anything or make anything better, simply being here just as you are is enough.

Acknowledging that this moment, just as it is, holds wisdom and peace that you can connect with right now. Noticing how your body continues to rest in stillness, allowing your mind to find peace.

Gently allowing your awareness to come back into the room and the space around you. Feeling your breath and how it continues to flow naturally and without effort.

As you continue your day, knowing that it is okay for your mind to be busy with thoughts, allowing each moment to return you to the peace of simply being right here and right now.

As you feel ready, gently and slowly, allowing your eyes to open.
