Resting in the Present Moment

Find stillness in your breath, and let it bring you back to now.

Welcome to this guided meditation, allowing yourself to settle into a comfortable position.

Letting your eyes soften and gently come to a close. Feeling the support of the surface beneath you. Noticing how in this very moment there is nothing to do but be here.

Feeling your breath as it flows in and flows out. Noticing how your belly expands and contracts with each breath. Noticing when your mind becomes captured by a thought. Remember that this is a thought.

Allowing yourself to come back to the sensation of resting here in this moment. Feeling your feet and how they rest on the surface beneath. You know this thing, how your feet are supported in this very moment.

Noticing your hands resting in this moment. Acknowledging how your body does not need to do anything. Knowing that your breath flows naturally and without effort. Observing when your mind gets taken away by a thought?

Gently with kindness, allowing your attention to come back to your breath. Feeling your belly expand and contract with each breath. Bringing your attention to your chest. Noticing how it feels for your chest to relax and not hold on.

Knowing that inside of your chest, your heart is beating, keeping you alive and well. Gently bringing your awareness back into the room and the space around. As you feel ready, gently allowing your eyes to open.
